SpaceX will launch SARah-2 satellite into orbit today [Updated]

Update: SpaceX has confirmed that the new T-0 of 5:41 a.m. PT for the Falcon 9 launch of the SARah-2 mission.

Original Story: SpaceX on December 23 will launch the SARah-2 mission to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E). This liftoff will take place at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

SARah 2 is a passive reflector antenna radar satellite built by OHB-System, the satellite is based on the reflector-antenna technology of SAR-Lupe. This satellite is part of the three-satellite constellation built for the German government as a follow-up to the SAR-Lupe radar state constellation.

The launch window for SARah-2 million is booked for 5:11 a.m. PT but there’s an alternative launch window opened for Sunday, December 24.

This Falcon 9 first-stage booster used in this flight is completing its eighth flight to the upper atmosphere. It previously supported SDA-0A and six other Starlink missions.

Following the hot staging, the booster will land back on Zone 4 (LZ-4) at Vandenberg Space Force Base.

23 Starlink:

Earlier today, SpaceX launched to push 23 Starlink satellites into orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 East (SLC-4E) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The launch window for this mission opened at 12:02 a.m. ET and the mission were conducted as planned with satellites deployment.
