Two of the electronics and solar cells companies, Epishine and Nichicon announced a new partnership with a self-charging battery concept and it will be showcased at CES 2024.

The concept promises to simplify the design of light-powered electronics and integrate similar to traditional battery solutions. The tech solution also aims to address sustainability, usability, and cost-related concerns for better electronics.

The partnership brings a combination of Epishine’s solar cells and Nichicon’s LTO batteries. This is an integrated solderless autonomous power solution with high efficiency.

Epishine and Nichicon say this new self-charging solution could be the alternative to disposable and rechargeable batteries and will help to cut down product development costs.

For now, there’s no information revealed on how the tech works or how it will generate power to recharge its battery capacity. However, such tech would revolutionize the way electronics work if it resolves some of its challenges.
