Luxshare, the key supplier for the latest Apple Vision Pro, is working overtime to meet the production demand following a robust pre-order last Friday.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the Chinese assembler Luxshare will work overtime during the Lunar New Year to meet the demand.

Kuo mentioned that there’s still much for improvement in the manufacturing process of this new mixed-reality headset. To bring deficiency, Luxshare has been working “full-time overtime since the start of mass production to offset the impact of production efficiency on shipments” he added.

The Apple analyst previously predicted that Vision Pro could achieve 500,000 sales in 2024 and he’s now saying that this number could be accomplished based on the current stream of popularity among early buyers.

Announced at Apple’s annual developer conference in June last year, Vision Pro began pre-orders on January 19. Based on the media reports, the device pre-orders were wiped away from the first phase immediately after it was listed on the website. The company later extended the dates of delivery by 7-8 weeks for pre-orders placed in the second phase.

For now, Apple Vision Pro remains limited to the U.S. market but past rumors suggest that the company could expand this device in the global market before WWDC 2024.

Still, the rumors are in action and we’ll have to wait for some more official confirmation about the expansion of Apple Vision Pro.
