Porsche launches 2025 Electric Taycan with 938 hp output, more driving range and design tweaks

On February 6, 2024, Porsche launched its brand new all-electric Porsche Taycan 2025 Model with improved power, driving range and design improvements.

The 2025 Porsche Taycan offers new performance. The RWD version can accelerate 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds which is 0.6 seconds faster than before. The Taycan Turbo S sedan can now reach 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, it’s 0.3 seconds faster than the previous generation.

There’s a new “push-to-pass” feature for the Sport Chrono package with a boost of up to 70 kW based on the model. This function can be triggered for 10 seconds at the touch of a button.

Porsche made some new improvements in the system output for higher performance. The base Taycan equips 60 kW more than its predecessor, the Turbo S model has 140 kW in Launch Control. The top Porsche Taycan model can ramp up system output at up to 700 kW/938 hp.

Charging:

The Porsche Taycan 2025 can be charged at an 800-volt DC charging station with a 320 kW ideal charging rate. Customers can charge the battery capacity from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

The Performance Battery Plus Porsche says its new Taycan has achieved 587 kilometers (364 miles) on a single charge. Customers can expand the battery capacity with a “Performance Battery Plus” with 105kW increased from 93 kWh.

Chassis:

All of the 2025 Taycan models have adaptive air suspension and are available for an optional Porsche Active Ride suspension.

The new suspension system aims to keep the Taycan’s body level most of the time during driving.

Efficiency:

A new powertrain with a rear-axle motor could draw 80 kW increased power. The system also has an improved pulse inverter with optimized software, better batteries, revised thermal management, a new heat pump, recuperation, and an all-wheel-drive strategy.

The new 21-inch wheels and tires are designed for maximum capacity during high-speed acceleration and deceleration.

Standard Equipment:

The 2025 Porsche Taycan comes with various standard equipment including:

  • Lane Change Assist
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Ambient lighting
  • Electrically folding exterior mirrors with mirror surround lighting
  • Porsche Intelligent Range Manager (PIRM)
  • New cooling system
  • Smartphone tray for wireless charging

Electric charging ports on the driver and front passenger side and a Drive Mode switch also included as standard features.

Design:

The new Taycan EV brings new headlights with LED HD-Matrix design and detailed optics + four-point graphics at night. It has a new Porsche logo in the rear light strip feature has a 3D glass design.

The standard model also offers door sil protectors in brushed aluminum.

Price:

Porsche opened the orders for this new Taycan today and it could reach Porsche centers by Summer 2024 across the U.S. Below you can check the prices for all of these Taycan models
