Google’s Gemini AI chatbot, previously known as Bard, can now edit and run Python code snippets directly in the prompt user interface.

The latest change was announced in a new update released on February 20, 2024. It allows users to test code and check output right in the conversation. Through Gemini’s response, the user could also get an additional explanation of the values, properties, and the result.

Google says that the new feature will help in the learning and verification of coding capabilities. Also, it would save the user a lot of time for verification.

It’s in the early stage of testing and optimized to execute a wide range of tasks. Gemini 1.5 Pro brings a standard 128,000 token context window and during the test window, it could allow up to 1 million tokens.

Gemini 1.5 Pro could process vast amounts of information in one go including 1 hour of video, 11 hours of audio, and codebases with over 30,000 lines of code or over 700,000 words. The company also claimed to test up to 10 million tokens in the test lab.
