Tesla explains that the job role will be to understand internal customer requirements, plan and execute test procedures, roll out ESIM seamlessly, and integrate the solutions to Tesla’s private 5G network infrastructure.

EV and Robotics are major industries but there’s still a lack of advanced network connectivity which could be a major barrier to achieving their prime. Adopting the 5G network access in production and services will help Tesla to output better products.

The recruitment aims to meet the connectivity requirements for existing and future Tesla vehicles and Optimus robots for various use cases. That includes manufacturing shopfloors, outdoor areas, and R&D labs.

Tesla wants the new recruitment to design end-to-end test plans, processes, and scripts for the private 5G protocol stack. The development of fast and reliable network solutions with any private cellular infrastructure vendor and deployment is also part of the job role.

Aside from the expertise and skills required, the company will pay a $104,000 to $348,000 per year salary. That includes Cash and stock awards as well as other benefits.
