Apple M4 Mac Product Launch Roadmap Leaked by Gurman

Apple Mac

Apple will refresh its M4 Mac product lineup starting this year and now a roadmap of this launch has been leaked by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

It’s revealed that the company will upgrade the Mac lineup including MacBook, iMac, and Mac Mini gradually with the upcoming M-series chipset.

The company is likely to enter its Mac chipset refresh cycle annually. That may sound more like an iPhone launch but it could start by the end of this year.

Last October, the company launched the M3 family chipset including M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max with increased power and efficiency.

Gurman said that Apple is about to achieve the production stage of M4 series chipsets. These new chipsets will provide an increased AI processing power. Below you can check the codenames of these new processors:

  • Donan – Base Chip
  • Brava – High-end chip to replace M3 Pro and M3 Max
  • Hidra – Ultra chip for top-of-the-line performance

Here is the M4 Mac Launch Roadmap:

  • A low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 (Release by the end of 2024)
  • A 24-inch iMac with M4 (Release by the end of 2024)
  • New 14-inch and 16-inch high-end MacBook Pros with M4 Pro/Max chips (Release by the end of 2024 and early 2025)
  • A Mac Mini with M4 and M4 Pro (Release end of 2024 and early 2025)
  • New 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs (Release Spring 2025)
  • New Mac Studio with performance M4 Ultra (Release in the middle of 2025)
  • New Mac Pro with M4 Ultra (Release in the second half of 2025)

Apple in the meantime has shared no official announcement regarding this launch plan.
