Elon Musk talks about Grok 3.5 with Microsoft CEO at Build 2025
Elon Musk, Founder and CEO of xAI, appeared at Microsoft Build 2025 and had a conversation about the upcoming model, Grok 3.5, with his counterpart Satya Nadella.
Grok is a large language model (LLM) and provides text-to-text, text-to-image, and voice-to-voice conversation for users. This chatbot is available on web and mobile platforms for standalone use, besides X (formerly Twitter). The company currently offers Grok 3 for users, but the 3.5 is said to take conversations to a new level with its powerful reasoning.
“It’s trying to reason from first principles, so apply kind of the tools of physics to thinking,” said Musk via live conference at Microsoft Build 2025 “So, that’s really, the focus of Grok 3.5 is Sort of fundamentals of physics and applying physics tools across all lines of reasoning, and to aspire to truth with minimal error”
The next Grok model is considered a big leap among all major LLMs that rely on the internet for reasoning. However, the new xAI approach will take on problem-solving by deconstructing queries to their core components and reasoning through them using fundamentals.
This will help the users to get answers that aren’t available on the internet by analyzing the question and providing a deep and comprehensive answers that aren’t derived from existing data.
A benefit of this approach from a user standpoint will be access to information, which isn’t possible with the current version or any other model. Besides this information, Musk has not provided a launch date for the Grok 3.5, which was expected to launch last week.
