Elon Musk, Founder of xAI, has shared new details about an algorithm update for the X (formerly Twitter) social media platform, with improved Grok AI. Musk posted this update while revealing that this new upgrade will start showing good posts even from small accounts that deserve the spotlight.

A month ago, X was acquired by xAI, the company behind the AI chatbot Grok. However, the platform was already using the AI chatbot before this acquisition and made it public via paid and free usage (including restrictions).

But Grok’s influence on X is beyond being only a chatbot. Instead, this online social media website is powered by Grok’s large language model (LLM).  The company is using AI in an algorithm to improve post recommendations, ranking, trending section, and sorting replies.

On the other hand, Grok allows online users to ask questions in the comment section (with @grok tag). Many users around the globe ask Grok to verify the information or to know more about a post itself.

Musk said that reply sorting will also get better with this new algorithm update, and a future change will also improve replies to the main feed.

X Algorithm Update with Grok AI

Previous information shows that the majority of content engagement on social platforms comes from around 20% of users, and this new change on providing a boost for small accounts is likely to disrupt these previous norms while diversifying content. For now, Musk has not provided a date for the new Grok AI featured algorithm to roll rollout on X.
