xAI founder posts a new update on Grok 3.5 as team continues model training

It seems that the Grok 3.5 version release is going to take some more time, as xAI founder, Elon Musk, confirmed that the team is still busy training the new generative AI model.
“Training Grok 3.5 while pumping iron @xAI” Musk quoted a post from the xAI team member Roman Grachev, who’s previously known as a Partner Engineering Manager at Microsoft AI, which focuses on developing AI-powered solutions.
The image posted on X includes Roman alongside Musk and Jason Calacanis, a known Uber investor, entrepreneur, and a recent vocal supporter of xAI. However, he’s not confirmed as an official staff member or in any lead role within the company.

“Am increasingly confident that Grok 3.5 will be the smartest AI by a significant margin,” wrote Musk on X. However, the xAI chief hasn’t shared any update on the release date, which his kind of a bummer for AI enthusiasts.
In late April, Musk said Grok 3.5 early beta will be available for SuperGrok subscribers starting in May, but there has been no test activity started as of June.
This new Grok version is expected to improve the answer capability and take it to the next level with reasoning from the first principles. For example, it can describe the technical questions about rockets and electric vehicles (EVs), containing the very basics to explain the core fundamentals without complicating the description.
