xAI is still cooking Grok 3.5, and a major change in replies is now announced by Grok founder Elon Musk to improve the user experience. Musk said DeepSearch and Think will activate automatically when needed in Grok 3.5. He quoted a post on X, which summarizes the key benefits of these two Grok reply features and how they improve the conversation.

Earlier this year, xAI launched the Grok 3 series with Deepsearch, Deepersearch, and Think. These reply modes vary according to the complex information that is required by the users.

DeepSearch focuses on aggregating and summarizing real-time data from the internet and X, bringing updated information, covering a broad range of topics and overviews.

DeeperSearch is an improved version of DeepSearch and goes two steps further, fetching even more details about the user prompt and returning all of the details in a comprised form that is well-researched, analyzed, and filled with different insights.

Think focuses on advanced reasoning and problem-solving, it takes less time than the above two features, and processes the prompt to provide the closest and most accurate answer, like a human thinking.

Currently, users have to enable these modes manually before finalizing the prompt with the on-screen user interface. However, an automatic selection is likely to be based on the complexity of the user prompt rather than manual selection.

Still, xAI should give an option to turn off the automatic selection feature. So, users will have a choice to get simple answers like usual.

Recently, Musk posted an update on Grok 3.5 development and confirmed that the team is still training the model for the upcoming launch. However, he didn’t provide any specific date as the rollout continue to delay.
