The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has published a plan advisory for upcoming launch operations, including SpaceX Starship Flight 10, which could liftoff as soon as June 29th.

The advisory mentioned that the Starship Flight 10 has a primary launch window of June 29, 2025, and a backup opportunity on June 20, 2025. As usual, the rocket will liftoff from Starbase, Boca Chica, Texas.

SpaceX has been testing this mega rocket for commercial launch. It features two stages – a super heavy booster and the second is an upper stage.

So far, the company has conducted nine test flights for Starship, and the most recent lifted off on May 27th. During this flight, SpaceX reused the first stage, including 29 out of the 33 flight-proven Raptor engines.

The booster completed its primary objectives and sent the second stage flying into orbit. It also demonstrated the ability to fly at a higher angle of attack during its descent back to Earth.

By increasing the amount of atmospheric drag on the vehicle, a higher angle of attack results in a slower descent speed, which in turn requires less propellant for the initial landing burn. The data gathered with this flight will help the rocket maker to improve performance for future booster versions.

Before this test, it was announced that this booster wouldn’t attempt a tower catch; instead, it went for a splashdown in the Gulf of America. Despite relighting the 12 out of 13 Raptor engines, the booster experienced unscheduled rapid disassembly, AKA RUD.

Meanwhile, the second stage went past the ascent burn phase and successfully entered orbit. Unfortunately, it didn’t attempt Starlink simulator deployment or the single-engine relit.

After a half hour of coasting phase, the ship lost attitude control and began spinning before Earth’s reentry. The ship also met with RUD. However, data review is underway, and the company has made necessary improvements to Flight 10’s first and second stages.

For now, SpaceX hasn’t announced June as the launch month, but it’s running quite ahead in the test schedule, and even if this date is delayed, we could see Starship Flight 10 flying in early July.
