Grok sidebar goes live for all users

xAI is now rolling out the sidebar to all Grok users on the web platform, allowing them instant access to some key features without searching for them all over the screen.

Side bar is currently exclusive to grok.com users, and we don’t have confirmation whether it will drop on X since it could create visibility issues due to the existing side menu on the social media platform.

The sidebar is open by default for all Grok users on the web version. The top consists of a search bar, which allows users to search the conversation history.

Other options are Chat, Tasks, Workspaces, and History. Options such as history could expand vertically because of its low position. Furthermore, you can pin any of the conversation in the history, which is another nifty addition to the side. At the same time, other options allow you to switch right to their dedicated interface.

Another thing to mention is that the sidebar could retract to the very side and turn into an icon-only menu without labels.
