xAI continues to improve Grok’s productive use cases, and the next feature inline is a spreadsheet editor for efficient and easy creation of such documents.

This spreadsheet editor is part of the new Files feature, which is under development, and enables users to create different types of documents, including plain text files, images, spreadsheets, and code. The main aim of the Files feature is to blend AI and productivity.

For example, Grok can write about SpaceX’s Raptor 3’s design upgrades and save this content in a new file. That’s not it, you can also edit the AI-generated text and style it with onboard tools.

Similarly, you can create a spreadsheet inside Files or import it directly from your local storage. Once imported, the file will open like a regular spreadsheet editor, but with Grok, you can perform many of the manual actions instantly.

The video demonstration from @nima_owji demonstrates its core workings, like formulas. This is one of the key things you must know about spreadsheets, and Grok will take this worry on its account. All you need to do is ask Grok about a certain row and cell, and it will sum up the value.
