Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, has accepted the idea of US President Donald Trump has prosed to cut all subsidies, including the ones for the electric vehicle (EV). However, this conclusion is not a part of the pleasant conversation between the former allies; instead, it’s otherwise.

Just recently, Trump accused Musk of being upset about ending the EV Mandate, which effectively requires a certain percentage of new vehicles sold to be EVs by specific future dates.

“Electric cars are fine, but not everyone should be forced to own one. Elon may get more subsidies than any human being in history, by far,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, his social media platform.

He also said that Musk’s companies, including Tesla and SpaceX, won’t survive without subsidies, if the government pulls them off.

On a later note, Trump warned the Tesla chief of a DOGE investigation, Musk’s special initiative within the US government, which looks after saving money from government spending.

“Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED”, Trump concluded.

Soon after, Musk responded to Trump’s post, saying, “I am literally saying CUT IT ALL. Now.”

This is the latest spat between Trump and Musk, which initially started earlier this month over the big “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”. At that time, Musk criticized the bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination” and saying it would increase the national debt ceiling.

Musk who supported continues cut in government waste via DOGE advocates that this bill will backtrack the US economy by adding more national debt, which is current over $36 trillion. The new bill is expected to add 3.8 trillion to the debt over the next decade.

Earlier today, Musk once against criticized the bill “It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!”

He also suggested creating a new political party, which may have triggered President Trump to respond.
