Rivian R1 Quad Launch Edition

Rivian has introduced R1 Quad Launch Edition, its most powerful electric vehicles (EVs), with immense performance and smart features.

The R1 Quad has distributed one motor for each wheel, delivering better traction control and enabling independent torque adjustment.

The R1s goes 0-60mph in 2.6 seconds, with 374 miles EPA estimated range (400 miles in Conserve mode), 1025 horsepower, and 1198 lb-ft torque. The R1T carries the same power except for 2.5 seconds of acceleration from 0-60mph, which is 0.1 seconds faster than the R1S. On a race track, these max versions measured 1/4 mile in 10.5 seconds.

From the design side, the vehicle hasn’t changed much compared to the second-gen look introduced last year. However, the new models still offers a few of its special traits.

Starting with the exclusive wheels, you can choose from the new Super Sport wheels, co-developed with Michelin for this launch edition. The other option is all-terrain Dune Satin Graphite or Dark Wheels.

This vehicle has Laguna Beach Blue accents and brake calipers. On the other hand, the darkout package includes similar accents from badging to the skid plate. Moreover, the Quad vehicles signify themselves with a Gear Guard badge on the rear door.

The most important factor of Quad R1S and R1T is the native NACS port, which customers can use to plug in anywhere on a Tesla Supercharger for efficiency and convenience. Another interesting feature is a refreshed interior, including hand stitching, bronze accents, and premium upgrades to provide better ride comfort.

Guess what? Kick Turn has returned to Rivian; Quad power can allow you to switch back or turn around in tight spots with instant rotation.

  • Steering assist
  • Ride height
  • Torque balance
  • Wheel slip
  • Stability
  • Damping
  • Roll stiffness

Rivian R1S Quad Launch Edition starts at $125,990 or an estimated lease of $1,949 per month. The R1T Quad version comes at $119,990 or $1899 per month for leasing.

The vehicle has two colors – limited edition launch green with black mountain and brown ash wood interior. The storm blue color has a slate sky and walnut wood interior combination.
