Most recently, we’ve witnessed a major leak of an in-vehicle app that revealed Grok in action. Users will be able to log in to their xAI account to Tesla using a QR code. The integration is expanded beneath Tesla’s in-car software system layer and allows users to interact with Grok via an on-screen widget.

The user can ask anything via a wake-up command or the on-screen voice mode button. It will have different voices as well as some settings to manage the conversation. Users will be required to have premium connectivity or a Wi-Fi connection to use Grok on their Teslas. More information in this segment is still awaited.

Recently, Tesla’s mobile app code has also leaked some of the early features for Grok integration, including the login authentication. That means users will be able to connect their xAI account to the Tesla vehicle via the mobile app.

From what we’ve seen so far, the integration is ready for public use. So, it’s up to Tesla to make a decision on the rollout date.
