We’ve been tracking Grok’s development for Tesla vehicles for months, and it’s finally here. The Grok app will be installed in the system, and users can access it from the app drawer. You can conduct verbal conversations just like a mobile.
Grok will require you to connect your xAI or X account to the vehicle via an on-screen QR code. Alternatively, you can authenticate your account via the mobile app.
A few things to note: The Grok app will be available only in the US for AMD vehicles and requires Premium Connectivity or a WiFi connection. Furthermore, Grok beta doesn’t have voice commands to control the car’s features, which will still be available via voice commands.
Light Sync
This feature will be available for vehicles with ambient light, new Model 3, Model Y, 2026 Model S and X, and Cybertruck. After the upgrade, users can sync light and sound to create a new experience while listening to music. This feature can also match the accent light with the album art color, and a feature Rave Cave could turn your Tesla into a night club.
