AI firm xAI has released interactive companions for Grok app users and Elon Musk, Founder and CEO of the company has shared some of the upcoming improvements to this new feature.

Easy operations

Musk said the company will work on an easy solution to enable companions within the Grok app. The initial option in the setting is part of the soft launch to ensure everything goes right.

New characters

More characters will be introduced gradually after internal testing, and their behaviour will match their looks and personalities.

Talk to anyone

Currently, you are limited to a few AI avatars, but in the future, you will be able to talk to any, including the one that you desire such as fictional character Superman or Batman.

Customizations

Musk confirmed that the xAI team has already started working on customizable companions, and they will arrive soon. Thereafter, you could be able to customize them according to your preference. However, these customizations might be free or paid.

Rudi

Rudi, one of the key companions in the app, will get fine-tuning of its personality on July 17, 2025.

These are just some of the few improvements mentioned by the CEO, and the list will continue to increase as more companions make their way within the Grok app.
