How to get 1-year Perplexity Pro for free in India

Perplexity offers one of the most advanced AI services available among the top generative AI models and its Pro plan is now available for free for 1-year but there is a catch, it’s available only in India.

One of India’s largest telecom service providers, Airtel, has partnered with Perplexity to give away a 12-month Perplexity Pro plan for free. This Indian telecom has more than 360 million customers across the country, which will give a massive boost to the AI maker’s current user base.

Airtel users can claim this reward, which costs 17,000 INR ($200) for a year, for free. This is the first of its kind partnership that an AI company has formed to provide a paid subscription for free.

How to get this offer

This offer is only limited to Airtel users, and related users need the official app to file a claim.

• Navigate to Rewards and OTTs
• Select the Perplexity Pro banner
• Sign in with a Gmail or Apple ID account

After these three steps, the user will have a free 1-year Perplexity Pro subscription added to their account.

You should know that this offer is available to claim between July 17, 2025 – January 17, 2026. Once subscribed, the active subscription now appear in their Perplexity account without requiring any billing details.

Perplexity Pro provides users with extended searches per day. You can use Pro search models and reasoning tools, including: Sonar, Claude 4.0 Sonnet, GPT-4.1, Gemini 2.5 Pro. The reasoning model includes R1 1776, Grok 4, GPT 03, and Claude Sonet. You can also use image generation as well as other powerful tools to research content online.
