Anthropic Claude can create files including spreadsheets, documents, PowerPoint slides and PDFs

Anthropic has released a new feature for Claude users, allowing you to create files including Excel spreadsheets, documents, PowerPoint slide decks, and PDFs. Claude users on web and desktop apps support this new capability for Max, Team, and Enterprise plan users, while Pro users will get this feature access in the coming weeks.

To create files, you need to upload the related data, research, information, or start from scratch. Here are some of its feature demonstrations.

• Upload raw data to receive crafted and optimized outputs with organized data, analysis, graphs, and insights.
• You need to describe the financial model with scenario analysis, project trackers with automated dashboards, or budget templates with variance calculations.
• You can upload a PDF report and get PowerPoint slides. Share meeting notes and the AI will generate a formatted document. Or you can upload invoices and receive organized spreadsheets with calculations.

How to create files

• Go to Settings > Features > Experimental and enable Upgraded file creation and analysis.
• Upload relevant files or describe what you need
• Give instructions related to the data through chat
• Download your completed file or save it on your connected cloud storage, such as Google Drive
