xAI is cooking read-aloud feature for Grok web

xAI is preparing a read-aloud feature for the Grok web, after introducing this capability for iOS users, enabling easy accessibility for responses.

The read-aloud feature allows users to hear the audio version of the response in the conversation. A button with a speaker icon is added to the bottom menu bar of each reply. When you tap on the icon, the model will read the reply in a default Grok voice.

A user demo shared by Tech Dev Notes shows read-aloud in action. However, key options remained hidden, such as the playback controls, including the play/pause button, time skip, playback speed, and time stamp.

The read-aloud feature is currently under development, and xAI will soon release it for all Grok web users.
