Tesla launches new Model Y Performance in the US
Tesla has launched the new Model Y Performance in the US, with some design upgrades over the non-performance version. This version is priced at $57,490, but for the launch day, you can get it for $49,990 with a $7,500 Federal tax credit. However, users must place an order by midnight on September 30, 2025, which is the last day to claim the clean vehicle tax credit.
The new Model Y Performance has a powerful configuration that could take 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds, offers 155mph top speed, and 306 miles of EPA estimated range.
In terms of upgrades, the vehicle offers new front and rear fascia and a carbon spoiler for better aerodynamics. Specifically, the lower front has a new sporty look, and it’s better than the predecessor.
The rear side has a Performance carbon spoiler, which increases downforce and reduces drag to support range efficiency. Unlike other variants, this model only comes with 21-inch Arachnid 2.0 wheels with staggered fitment tires to improve grip and steering control.
It has adaptive damping that adjusts handling and smooth suspension for a stable ride. Tesla is also offering new drive modes that give you better control while driving at high speeds.
This model also has features such as high-density battery cells, bringing higher charge capacity. Furthermore, the front row offers sports seats with side cushions to hold the driver during cornering. Another update in this performance is that you will get a slightly larger 16-inch front screen.
Early customers can choose from any color, because all of these are free and the tow package is also included in the purchase.
