xAI Founder and CEO, Elon Musk, has postponed the Grokipedia launch to the end of the week as the company is doing some extra work on this new product.

“Postponing Grokipedia v0.1 launch to end of week. We need to do more work to purge out the propaganda” Musk wrote on X.

Grokipedia is an idea of providing information that is curated by the xAI’s Grok AI model, which is developed as a maximum “truth-seeking” AI. The model is known for its humorous responses and different reply customizations.

Meanwhile, xAI’s growing computing power has enabled Grok to expand its reach outside of the AI chatbot domain. For example, it can AI 3d avatar known as Companions, which brings a unique way to interact with the AI.

The recent Grok 4 model update also increased the information access and detailed responses with speed improvements.

The creation of Grokipedia is a result of Musk’s criticism of Wikipedia, widely known as a knowledge-providing encyclopedia. Musk alleges that Wikipedia has “extremely left-biased” editorial control. He described the platform as Wokipedia or Dickipedia.

The world’s richest man has urged users to withhold donations until Wikipedia restores neutrality. He sees Grokipedia as the modern and more suitable alternative to online information consumption powered by AI, which will be open-source.

Last week, he announced Grokipedia v0.1, which is dubbed as “buggy beta” but improves over time with user response.
