Cursor 2.0 launches with multi-agent interface and more
Cursor has officially announced Cursor 2.0 and Composer, starting a new era of mult-agent AI development with a supporting interface.
Cursor’s Composer is a frontier model with speed and efficiency. It is built for low-latency agentic coding in Cursor and could complete most turns in 30 seconds. Early users can iterate quickly with the model and trust the model for multi-step coding tasks.
Composer has tools, including codebase-wide semantic search, to understand and work in large codebases.
New Interface
Cursor 2.0 brings a new interface, which focuses on agents. This is happening while you can open files in the new layout or switch back to the classic IDE.
This new Cursor version makes it easy to run many agents in parallel without them interfering with one another, powered by git worktrees or remote machines.
The developers behind Cursor have found two bottlenecks in the way of using agents for coding. First is reviewing the code, and second is testing the changes. Cursor 2.0 addresses these two problems and solves them to help developers ease the development.
Cursor 2.0 is now available to download for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Check the download page for more details.
