Tesla launches FSD (Supervised) gift card for $112
Tesla has fulfilled its promise of bringing the Full Self Driving (FSD) gift card for users who want to gift this capability to friends and family.
FSD allows Tesla to drive itself through traffic on public roads. It can detect road signs, hazards, obstacles, and animals to respond accordingly. The recent FSD v14 enables even smarter self-driving compared to previous releases. However, Supervised FSD requires users to monitor the self-driving maneuvers and be ready to take the wheel in a complex situation.
Previously, users could buy this capability for themselves only with a new vehicle or through a monthly subscription for $99. However, the gift card is currently available as a one-month option, but it may be extended in the future. Users can purchase an FSD gift card from the Tesla app with the following instructions:
- Go to the menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Shop
- Open ‘Lifestyle’ section
- Select ‘One Month Full Self-Driving (Supervised) Gift Card.
- Fill in the prompts and tap ‘Add to Cart.’
- Review the details and make the payment.
Subsequently, the user will receive a confirmation email along with a gift card. Alternatively, users can also purchase a gift card from the Tesla Shop.
The FSD gift card users must abide by some terms. The user must be a Tesla owner, the app version must be updated to 4.5.1.1 or later, and be eligible for FSD (Supervised) and not have purchased it outright.
The Tesla FSD (Supervised) gift card is valued at $112, and it includes 13% sales tax. This gift card can be stored in the Tesla wallet and redeemed toward FSD or any other Tesla product or service that accepts gift card payments.
To redeem the gift card, you need to select the Redeem Gift in the email, which will redirect you to the Tesla app. Review the gift card details and tap Continue. Verify the redemption code and finalize the redemption process with “Redeem” to activate the gift card.
