Anthropic brings Slack Integration for Claude AI

Anthropic has announced that users on the Claude Pro and Max plans can now connect Slack directly to the Claude AI platform. This integration enables seamless interaction between Claude and Slack workspaces, allowing users to perform tasks without switching applications.

The feature enables Claude to search workspace channels, direct messages, threads, files, and users. It provides relevant context for queries, supports meeting preparation by retrieving discussion history, and facilitates sending messages back to Slack.

Users can generate draft messages, refine them within Claude, and post them after review. Additionally, the integration supports creating and sharing canvases, Claude’s collaborative document feature, directly in Slack channels.

To access the integration, users visit the connectors section on claude.com and follow the setup process for Slack. Once connected, Claude can assist with productivity tasks such as summarizing channel activity, drafting responses to teammates, or compiling project updates from scattered conversations.

This update extends Slack connectivity to individual paid plans, building on previous enterprise-focused features. It maintains Claude’s emphasis on secure, permission-respecting access, ensuring the AI only interacts with content the user is authorized to view in Slack.

By embedding Slack data into Claude conversations, the integration aims to streamline communication and information retrieval for professionals relying on both tools. Setup is available immediately for eligible subscribers.
