NASA and SpaceX adjusts Crew-12 launch due to unfavourable weather [Update]
Update: NASA and SpaceX are now targeting no earlier than 5:15 a.m. EST, Friday, Feb. 13, for launch of the Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. This new delay is due to continues unfavourable weather conditions.
NASA and SpaceX have adjusted the launch date for the Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station due to unfavourable weather conditions. Teams now target no earlier than 5:38 a.m. EST on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
The decision follows a weather review that identified unfavorable conditions along the Dragon spacecraft’s flight path for the original February 11 opportunity. Teams waived that date to ensure safety. Weather remains a key factor for February 12, with forecasts showing improvement by February 13.

The Crew-12 mission features NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. The four crew members continue quarantine at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center as they prepare for flight.
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will carry the crew aboard the Dragon spacecraft. If launch occurs on February 12, the spacecraft will dock with the International Space Station at approximately 10:30 a.m. on February 13.
NASA will provide live coverage starting at 3:30 a.m. for the February 12 attempt. Viewers can watch through official channels, including NASA+ and the agency’s YouTube platform.
