Tesla has begun deploying software update 2025.45.10, introducing Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised version v14.2.2.5 to select vehicles. However, the release notes appear unchanged from the prior version.

This confirms that v14.2.2.5 carries the identical changelog as v14.2.2.4, focusing on targeted enhancements rather than introducing new headline features. The core improvements are in this v14.2.2.x branch centers on three key areas.

First, Tesla upgraded the neural network vision encoder, incorporating higher-resolution features for better interpretation of complex scenarios. This refinement improves handling of emergency vehicles, road obstacles, and human gestures – critical elements for safer urban navigation.

Second, the update adds customizable Arrival Options, allowing drivers to specify preferred parking locations: Parking Lot, Street, Driveway, Parking Garage, or Curbside. This gives users more control over endpoint behavior.

Third, new logic enables the vehicle to appropriately pull over or yield for approaching emergency services, such as police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances.

These changes build on the broader FSD v14 series, which debuted in late 2025. Version 14 introduced a more sophisticated end-to-end neural network architecture, replacing rule-based heuristics with photon-to-control processing trained on billions of real-world miles.

Earlier v14 releases (v14.0 through v14.2) focused on smoother lane changes, better speed control, and reduced interventions in highway and city driving. The v14.2.2 sub-versions represent iterative polishing. It fixes edge cases, improves reliability, and prepares the system for wider deployment.

Previous point releases in the v14 lineage followed a pattern of gradual refinement. For example, v14.2.2.4 delivered the same vision encoder upgrade and parking options that now carry over unchanged into v14.2.2.5.

Such minor version bumps often include under-the-hood optimizations: bug fixes, latency reductions, and subtle behavioral tweaks that may not appear in release notes but contribute to overall performance.

Looking ahead, Tesla’s roadmap emphasizes progression toward FSD Unsupervised – the long-term goal where the system operates without requiring driver attention. Currently labeled “Supervised,” FSD demands constant foreseeing, with the driver ready to intervene.

While FSD v14.2.2.5 offers no dramatic leaps, it exemplifies Tesla’s iterative approach: frequent, data-driven updates that compound into substantial gains over time. For owners receiving the update, it reinforces steady progress toward a future where full autonomy becomes reality.
