New update broke X UI, showing PCF_LABEL_NONE on accounts

X engineers are continuously adding new features for X users, but sometimes, things don’t go as planned; therefore, a new error has started to appear on the UI as “PCF_LABEL_NONE” for user accounts.

This appeared after Elon Musk announced the new Grok translation and recommendation update, which may have influenced the newest changes, but cannot be confirmed.

As for your information, PCF is a user account label for Parody, Commentary, and Fan accounts. These labels sit right below the account name for maximum transparency regarding certain accounts to let people know that they’re not officially affiliated with whoever they’re parodying, commenting on, or fan-accounting about. X launched this feature in 2025 to strengthen its impersonation rules.

However, the PCF_LABEL_NONE on every X account and post is an internal code string, which shows that the account doesn’t fall under the PCF label. It remains invisible all the time, but an update probably broke the UI and showed the label to all users.

Many X users noted this UI breakage and reported this the social media site. This should be noticed soon by the X team and fixed.

Update: March 31, 2026 – X team has fixed the label.
