Users reported Grok Imagine extension voiceover bug, xAI is fixing
xAI has confirmed that a fix is coming for a problem with the Grok Imagine video extension feature, which is causing problems in the voiceover.
X user @keepgoingannie shared a 29-second animated video generated with Imagine, that’s well framed and received praise for its quality. However, there’s a key flaw. It loses volume in the latter half, which happened after the second extension.
The issue was attended by an xAI Imagine team member, Leonie Engel, who confirmed that a fix is coming.
An X user reported an issue in the Grok Imagine video extension feature, reducing volume after the second extension
Imagine is a video generation tool that allows users to create clips with generative AI. The interface is simple; you need to input instructions, and the AI will come up with a result. Imagine can generate human-like, anime, and all sorts of art styles in videos.
That goes for a simple functionality, but the tool has a lot to offer, such as manual control. Users can choose aspect ratio, oritentation and save their videos under specific categories for easy sorting.
Extend and Voiceover
Besides the default length, the Extend feature lets you add an equal watch time with new instructions in the same video.
For example, you can create a boy reaching the finishing line with the first prompt. Make him wear a jetpack in the second, and fly him out of the Earth in joy in the third. The second and third could be done with an extension.
On top of that, Grok adds a voiceover with text instructions and automatically processes it with lip-sync in the video with facial expressions.
Despite Grok Imagine doing tremendous work, the extension functionality requires a refinement, which may fix the voiceover issue.
