The top two OLED display makers – Samsung and LG have begun the mass production of OLED display panels for iPhone 18 Pro models, confirms a new report.

According to South Korea’ ETnews, the two South Korean display makers have started producing display panels for iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max and iPad Mini devices. Apple plans to release these iPhones and the iPad in the fall of 2026.

You should know that the the Cupertino based tech giant is planning to split the launch events. It means, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will be launching this year and the standard iPhone will be shifting to the early next.

The two iPhone 18 Pro Models will be accompanied by the foldable iPhone, which will also start production somewhere this month. Apple has resolved some of the major issues with the quality of this foldable iPhone and the next milestone is to fetch it with the foldable hinge.

Moreover, Samsung will be starting the OLED panel production for MacBook Pro in July this year with its newly established 8.6th gen OLED line in Korea.

The one thing that’s clear that Apple is going all in for the Korean display makers for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max production. Previously, China’s BOE made a comeback in iPhone’s supply chain but its luck ran out as the company failed for its samples’ quality testing for the upcoming iPhones.

Thus, giving Samsung and LG a clear win in their stakes for the iPhone 18 Pro devices. Following the mass producction, Apple could start taking shipments of the new OLED display panels and start assembling the iPhones to prepare for the launch event in September.
