Founder and CEO of SpaceX said on Thursday that his satellite internet services, Starlink has achieved cash flow breakeven.

In 2021, Musk mentioned that SpaceX would spin off and announce Starlink publicly once the cash flow is achieved. However, Musk has not confirmed any such takeaways from this new achievement, at least for the time being.

Launched in 2019, Starlink is a satellite internet service, which is powered by satellites orbiting around Earth, there are roughly 5000 satellites in space at the moment. Thus making Starlink the largest satellite internet service provider in the world.

“Starlink is also now a majority of all active satellites and will have launched a majority of all satellites cumulatively from Earth by next year,” Musk said on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.

SpaceX continues to launch new satellites to grow the entire arsenal of Starlink satellites in Earth’s orbit.
