SpaceX Starlink exceeds 2.3 million subscribers worldwide

Starlink 2.3 million Subscribers

SpaceX’s satellite internet service Starlink now covers over 2.3 million subscribers around the globe. The latest achievement comes amid the company says it’s now operating in over 70 countries as of December 22, 2023.

Launched in 2019, Starlink is a satellite internet service to enable connectivity in remote places.

SpaceX is continuously sending new Starlink satellites into space. As of November this year, SpaceX has a satellite constellation of 5,500 satellites in low Earth Orbit.

This number is likely to grow further as SpaceX is looking to increase the number of launches more frequently than the current year.

Starlink 2.3 million Subscribers

Last December, SpaceX achieved 1 million subscribers, in May 2023 it increased to 1.5 million, and 2 million in September 2023. Adding 1.3 million subscribers within a year marks 130% YoY growth for Starlink subscriptions and it’s a big progress.

This number will add more customers in 2024 because Starlink still has pending regulatory approval in many other markets.

Starlink is easy to deploy and easy to use, also it doesn’t require an engineer to set it up for use. Starlink comes in three packages residential, roaming, and boats. It also offers packages for businesses including airlines.
