Apple surpasses 2.2 billion active iPhones and other devices

Apple today announced that it has over 2.2 billion active devices, the highest that the company has ever been in all of the segments of business including iPhones, iPads, Macs, Watches, and more.

“We are pleased to announce that our installed base of active devices has now surpassed 2.2 billion, reaching an all-time high across all products and geographic segments,” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple.

Apple today published its financial results for its fiscal 2024 first quarter ended 30, 2023. During the earning call, the company also hyped the nationwide sales of Apple Vision Pro, its $3,499 mixed reality headset.

The company recorded a quarterly revenue of $119.6 billion an increase of 2 percent year over year. Apple revealed that its quarterly earnings per diluted share was $2.18, which improved 16% year over year.

The Cupertino-based tech giant has announced a cash dividend of $0.24 per share of the common stock.
