One of the largest hotel franchisors Choice Hotels and Tesla have signed a partnership to bring Tesla Universal Wall Connectors for electric vehicle (EV) charging to Choice-branded hotels across the U.S.

The Choice Hotels offers 7,500 hotels with over 630,000 rooms across 46 countries and territories.

The agreement will allow Choise-branded hotels including Radisson, Cambria, Comfort, Country Inn & Suites, Quality Inn, and others to add four or more charging stations for guests.

The new step was launched to meet the demand for EV charging and reduce the hassle of finding a charging station.

Customers and travelers can find a hotel with a charging station via the official Choice Hotels website and the mobile app.

“This agreement with Tesla allows our brands to further stand out by increasing access to EV charging for guests and potentially drive incremental topline revenue for hotel owners,” said Dominic Dragisich, Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Global Brand Officer for Choice Hotels International.

Choice Hotels said in a press release that 41 percent of its hotels are offering EV charging but the company is aiming for at least one charging station at all of its hotels.
