Tesla Track Mode Demonstration on a Frozen Lake in Norway

Tesla today published a video on social media site X to demonstrate track mode on a frozen lake in Norway with CGI-like drone shots.

Track mode is designed to modify the stability control, traction control, regenerative braking, and cooling system to increase performance and handling while driving on closed courses.

Track mode can improve cornering ability with a combination of motors and regenerative and traditional braking systems.

Once enabled, the cooling system runs at an increased level during and after aggressive driving sessions to allow the vehicle’s system to withstand the surplus heat.

This feature is available only on Model 3 Performance, Model Y Performance, and Model S Plaid.

You should also know that track mode is designed to be used only on closed-circuit driving courses and it’s not for public roads.
