Upgraded Tesla Model 3

Tesla published a round-tour video of the Upgraded Tesla Model 3 which has recently been launched in the U.S. and explained what’s new in this car, especially the design refinements.

Franz Von Holzhausen, Chief of Tesla’s Vehicle Design said that the car has removed what he called “the baby fat out of the front end” and slimmed the headlights.

This new optimization provides a sleek look to the front and gives it a more sporty feeling. The refined front slope also supports maximum aerodynamics for better range performance.

Tail lights in this new Model 3 are wider and the diffuser is increased in size. When you access the tailgate, the rear light stays intact unlike the legacy Model 3.

Lars Moravy, VP of Vehicle Engineering at Tesla explains the Upgraded model 3 comes with a stiffer and stronger door structure with a new hinge structure, door latch, and striker. There’s a new catch added at the bottom of the door to minimize the side impact.

Daniel Ho from Tesla’s Vehicle Programs Division said the new Model 3 is quiet inside once you enter the car. The Model 3 maintains this quietness during the drive with the new ramp on the edge of the hood. The ramp takes all of the wind and reflects it over the windscreen to reduce air noises.

The interior of the car has new changes such as an ambient lighting strip wrapped around the front deck to the rear seats. These lights are customizable with different colors.

Upgraded Model 3 adds new ventilated front seats. The control center screen has been optimized and added passenger screen has its entertainment, climate control, and seat adjustments.
