iPhone 16 vertical camera setup allegedly appears in a new leak
A new camera change is likely to come in iPhone 16 and it has now appeared in an alleged component leak with vertical lens arrangement.
An image shared by a tipster named Majin Bu on social media site X shows a camera mold that is part of two lens cutouts. Since it can house two lenses the model should be the standard iPhone 16.
Last year’s iPhone 15 used a 48MP main and a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera. The design carried a squared round edge camera bump on the top left corner of the back. Also, the arrangement was changed to diagonal compared to the existing model.
The new component leak reminds us of the iPhone 11 which also follows a similar design language for the camera system. A report from Macrumors confirmed that this leak is authentic and the camera is quite relevant to the iPhone 16 that will launch later this year.
Phone makers usually test different types of camera designs and material schemes before mass production. Therefore, the design stands a chance of any aesthetical improvements even at the last moment of the manufacturing stage.
Analyst Ming Chi-Kuo said in his previous report that the iPhone 16 will not carry any major changes in design. But last year, Apple introduced a titanium design scheme that provides an ultra-premium look to the device lineup.
The Cupertino-based tech company also testing a new button for the frame. Primarily it will use camera control such as capture and video recording providing support for instant camera actions. A similar button has been introduced with the iPhone 15 series and it’s called the “Action” button.
The next generation of iOS will feature new AI technologies to support smart features and iPhone 16 will host these capabilities first. So, there are plenty of good reasons to upgrade to this new iPhone model for consumers.
