Volkswagen has confirmed that the new 2024 ID.4 will qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit at the point of sale. 2024 ID.4 will be available in three trims including three trim levels – standard, S, and S Plus.

These models pack battery capacities of 62 kWh or 82 kWh and rear-wheel or all-wheel drive options. Its new battery capacity is the biggest upgrade for the lineup.

Volkswagen ID.4 rear-wheel-drive model produces 282 horsepower and the all-wheel-drive generates 335 horsepower.

The standard models use a 12-inch infotainment system and the 82kWh ID.4 models bring an increased 12.9-inch display with backlit sliders and an optimized climate control interface.

The 2024 82 kWh battery version equips ventilated front-row seats, and the S Plus models will bring a Harman/Kardon audio system with nine speakers, a subwoofer, and a 16-channel amplifier.

The 2024 ID.4 Pro models feature 20-inch aluminum-allow wheels and S Plus vehicles with 21-inch machined alloy wheels.

Federal Tax Credit:

This new EV starts at $39,735 for 62 kWh models and the 82 kWh models are priced at $44,875 with $1,425 for delivery.

Volkswagen says that ID.4 2024 models will be eligible for the full $7,500 Federal Tax Credit on purchase for eligible buyers. This means that the versions could be reduced to $32,235 and $37,375 respectively.

The company said that the new eligibility comes after an adjustment in the battery supply chain which is now sourced from South Korea’s SK On. The company says that MY24 ID.4 vehicles will qualify during the entirety of 2024 with models with SK on Batteries and it will publish more details on this matter.

Last month, the carmaker announced achieving full tax credit for most 2023 models of ID.4s.
