Aston Martin delays first electric vehicle to 2026

Aston Martin has delayed its first electric vehicle (EV) to 2026 revealed Lawrence Stroll, executive chairman of Aston Martin. The carmaker last year said this EV could arrive in 2025 and now it extended another year.

Last June, Aston Martin announced its strategic partnership with Lucid Group to boost its high-performance electrification for new models.

The company said it is now looking for its first electric vehicle (BEV) to launch in 2026. Stroll mentioned that the company is more focused on releasing a couple of plug-in hybrid vehicles before its first EV release.

Through this decade Aston Martin will rollout gas, hybrid, and EVs under its mixed strategy for new launches.

Its first plug-in hybrid mid-engined Valhalla is scheduled to unveil this year and a new option with an electric powertrain option will be launched in 2026.
