Grok AI to bring X Thread Analysis feature
xAI’s Grok AI model could bring a new “Grok Analysis” feature that will explain the conversation in an X thread using its language processing capabilities.
Elon Musk founder of xAI announced this upcoming feature on social media site X while saying that it is inspired by the “penguin movie”.
“You will soon have the option of tapping “Grok, analysis!” in post details. It will analyze and explain the whole thread discussion for you.” wrote Musk.
Grok is a large language model introduced in November last year by xAI. The company says it is modeled after the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy with text-to-text framework. Unlike competitors such as ChatGPT and Bard/Gemini, Grok has options to answer unconventionally in different tones.
LLMs have immense capability of automatic summarization and allow the application to extract all information from a piece of paragraph/text and present it in a comprehensible form.
Grok can already summarize a post but its integration in X’s UI would make it more accessible.
Grok:
After its launch, Grok became a part of X’s user interface allowing users to open it from the menu but only for Premium+ subscribers which costs $16 a month.
The xAI team is filled with people who previously worked at Google’s DeepMind, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Tesla, and the University of Toronto.
However, this AI is progressing gradually and there hasn’t been any huge announcement made so far by the company at this point.
Grok is currently in early access and there is not much of the data trained to the LLM. This model however has vast access to real-time information thanks to the X.
Grok 1.5:
It was previously reported that xAI has planned a major 1.5 release for this but more details about this update are still awaited.
