First look Tesla Model 3 Performance (Ludicrous)

Tesla Model 3 Performance (Ludicrous) version is preparing for launch and a South Korean regulatory filing revealed some specs about its motor and battery pack.

X user @eivissacopter has shared a leak about the Tesla Model 3 Performance from South Korea. It suggests that the front motor of the vehicle would be a 3D3 (158kW) 212hp identical to the Long Range version.

The rear motor however is getting a new 4D2 406hp (303kW) compared to the 3D1 with 298hp in the previous model. The battery is 82kW the same as the Long Range version supplied by LG in Korea but might change for customers outside including the U.S.

The Korean regulator shows this vehicle brings around 270 miles of range (434 kilometers). The curb weight of the car is reported at 1855kg (4,089 lbs) and it is slightly higher than the Long Range model.

Past Leaks

Over the past few weeks, several footage and pictures of the upcoming Tesla Model appeared online. The front of the Performance version retained a splitter which is now blended into the 2024 Tesla Model 3.

A recent prototype for Europe revealed that the car is using Piereli P-zero tires and 20-inch warp wheels with aero inserts. The model carries Red calipers white and red paint options.

The rear of the Tesla Model 3 Performance carries a new continuous taillight with an adjusted spoiler. Some modifications are also made to the back diffuser and there’s a Ludicrous silver badge added to the right side of the license plate.

Adding this new motor to the rear wheels will provide an increased performance over its predecessor and it may have something to do with this new ludicrous driving mode. Eventually, we could expect the performance version to provide enhanced power output when the model comes out.

Overall, customers are now waiting for a launch date which Tesla has not announced for the time being.
