BYD Shark hybrid pickup truck will debut globally at an unveiling and Mexico launch event on May 14 in Mexico. This is the first pickup truck that the Chinese car giant is pushing for customers with a hybrid platform.

“Get ready for BYD SHARK’s global debut in Mexico City, Mexico, and witness the strength and innovation behind our new Pickup Truck,” wrote the company on social media platform X, formerly Twitter on Tuesday.

The teaser image shows a glimpse of the truck before it is unveiled. The front has a wide LED bar from the front of the truck and wraps around the headlights including high and low beams.

The grill portion of the front has a big BYD logo and the bumper has a rugged look with towing hooks. The appearance indicates that it is made for adventures. The depth on both sides reminds us of the F150-Lightning but with visual optimizations.
