Rivian highlights 2.8 app version’s service feature

Rivian highlighted a key feature that rolled out with version 2.8 of the mobile app and helps users to request service appointments without contacting customer support. The 2.8 Rivian app update rolled out in April and brings a number of improvements and feature enhancements including:

  1. Sharing and pairing with updated drivers and keys feature.
  2. You can check the range at a glance with the new lock screen widget.

The company today posted on the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, about the new Service feature.

“Rivian owners can reach out directly from the app once an appointment is scheduled and keep the conversation going for 24 hours after the appointment is complete.” wrote the company.

Rivian provides service overage for its vehicles, you can conduct maintenance or repairs in all marketed vehicles. The new way provides the convenience of booking a service directly from the app alongside a secondary way of contacting the Service Support team.

The electric vehicle (EV) company is building a mobile service network that will reach customers when service is required. Rivia also has service centers for extensive service requirements.
