SpaceX Falcon 9 Liftoff

On May 8, 2024, SpaceX launched a new Falcon 9 mission from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The payload of this mission carried 23 Starlink communication satellites to improve the connectivity across the Starlink constellation.

The company confirmed this launch 30 minutes before liftoff and began loading propellant. The launch vehicle and the weather at the launch site remained supportive and clear.

This was the third flight for the first stage booster, which landed on a droneship stationed in the Blue Sea. The first stage previously supported Crew-8 and two Starlink missions including the latest.
