Watch BYD Shark introduction video with off-road and hybrid capabilities

A few days ago, Chinese auto giant BYD launched SHARK its first plug-in hybrid electric pickup truck for global customers and you can now watch the full introduction video including its on and off-road rides.

The front of the truck has LED contour lighting and a large suspended three-dimensional logo. The rear integrates the BYD logo on the tailgate along with a wide taillight bar. Phones with NFC can access the NFC key feature providing a safe and convenient unlocking experience with a tap on the NFC logo on the driver’s side of the review mirror.

BYD Shark has a 1.5-liter engine with 430 hp, it can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. This vehicle can tow a maximum of 2500kg capacity. It has a truckbed with a 1450-liter cargo volume capacity to put heavy objects or even motorcycles.

Meanwhile, the overall payload capacity is 835kg to carry all people and cargo in this vehicle. There are three terrain modes added to the truck including sand, mud, and snow mode. These work on different terrain types with given conditions.

It comes with a 12.8-inch multimedia screen and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel. The Multimedia screen supports a rotating feature and lets the user experience a new display orientation. There’s a 12-inch W-HUD head-up display that shows some information right in front of the driver’s view. If you want to enjoy, this SHARK brings a karaoke feature supported by BYD’s Stingray app.
