SpaceX NROL-146 mission to launch on Wednesday

SpaceX is set to launch the NROL-146 mission from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

The liftoff for this mission is scheduled for 1:00 a.m. PT with a backup launch opportunity available until 3:28 a.m. PT. If the initial launch date is scrubbed, the mission could fly on the reserve day on May 23 starting at 1:14 a.m. PT.

NRO Launch or NROL is the designation for satellites operated by the US National Reconnaissance Office. These missions are generally classified and no details are available on their objectives and orbit details. The first stage used in this flight will complete its 16th flight with the NROL-146 mission. It previously supported:

  • NROL-87
  • NROL-85
  • SARah-1,
  • SWOT
  • Transporter-9
  • 9 Starlink satellite missions
