Tesla Model Y offering Dark Gemini Wheels as default, removes light wheels

Tesla is offering the newest Dark Gemini Wheels for free with Model Y electric vehicle (EV) in the US. The change comes after the company introduced this new wheel option last month for $500.

With this new option in default, Tesla replaced the 19-inch light wheel for the Model Y and removed it from the selection. Therefore, you can choose between 19-inch Gemini Dark Wheels (included) and 20-inch induction wheels at $2,000.

The 19-inch and 20-inch wheels are available only for the Long Range RWD and AWD models. The Performance version offers 21-inch Uberturbine Wheels included in the purchase bundle. The new Dark Gemini Wheels don’t differ from the light sibling except for the color.

Tesla Model Y is eligible for a $7,500 Federal tax credit and anyone who buys this model can redeem the credit at the point of delivery.
