Last week, Apple released iOS 17.6 software update for iPhone users and there’s now a rumor that the company could also rollout an incremental 17.6.1.

This information is coming from an anonymous leaker on social media site X but there’s no confirmation when iOS 17.6.1 will come for iPhones or what it will bring. Macrumors also reported about this version and affirmed that it’s real.

It suggests that the company will further improve the stability of the iOS 17.6 features and the next version. This build in particular installs bug fixes and security updates.

This development is on the sideline of the iOS 18 and 18.1 beta. These two are currently on developer and public beta branches and new features as an early preview.

iOS 18 will be available this fall for all users until then, Apple will push a number of new beta updates to stabilize this software.
